KR Freezing Up

Help... my KR has just 'frozen up' - shutter just won't work and I can't change the shutter speed or aperture which seems to be stuck on 1/6000 and F29.Just bought the camera and was trying to get to know it! Camera is just not responding. Any suggestions? Many thanks.

Take the batteries out, leave it for a minute or so, and then re-insert and switch on. Happened once with my K-x about 6 months ago, but never since.
