Hi all.
Im about to buy a used k5 with 2 batteries included, but no charger. Would i be able to charge the k5 batteries with a kr charger, as i have one, or are they not compatible. Or could i use my kr battery in the k5.
Any help would be welcome,
Simon.

The K-r batteries that I have don't fit in the K3 charger, a lack of cutouts stop them even going into it. K5 might be different though.

K7, K5, K3 and Pentax 645D all share the same battery.

K5 = D-LI109 battery = D-BC109 charger

KR = D-LI90 Battery = D-BC90 charger

So I don't think anything would be interchangeable

I have both the K-r & K-5iis (which I believe shares a battery with the k-5), and the batteries are not interchangeable, they have a different number of contacts!

Ok, thats just the advice i was after.
So, it looks like i need a charger for a k5....anyone recommend where to get one or got one for sale. Would a third party one be ok or is it best to go with a pentax one. I could really do without having to fork out for a new pentax one.
