Lots of impact, and the framing works very well. Adds to the 3-D quality.

Hi Galoot,
As george says, the frame really makes him/her stand out.. lovely colours as well. Great focus on the eyes.
BTW.. Where can I get one of those tartan romper suits in an XL..
Cheers
Liam

Thanks for the comments.
I printed out a few copies for my sister and the "Grandparents', there seems to a bottle of 'medicinal' Highland Malt, heading my way

Pete, that is tremendous.
Well done mate!
I dont care if everyone else thinks its good, mediocre or cr@p, I think its one of the best pics I have seen in ages.
PS the sky is burned out in places and the snow seems a little underexposed but who cares, its one helluva pic and I love it.

Fan-blinking-tastic Pete. And I know the K10D helped out, but I believe good photographs are taken by good photographers - not good cameras!

Absolutely stunning and backs up my comment about one of your other pics Re: The model not looking directly at the lens. Sometimes the shot is better when they don't . . . and they don't come much better than this.
What a truly excellent photograph.
PS: I'm beginning to miss Merlin though
Cheers,

Thanks folks for those wonderful comments
HOWEVER ! i was a bit embarresed morning when reading them because i was not not the photographer and never mentioned being.
I just posted the photo for all to see.
I found the is pic on the internet and posted it because like you guys thought it was superb. You should see the original size. It was taken with the K10D so it says.
Photos like this inspire me and comments like you guys have said makes me want to acheive photos like this.
So aBIG BIG sorry to dissapoint you all DONT TELL ME OFF after all i could have said nothing but cant take praise for something i did no do.
All the other pics, Merlin, landscapes and my girlfriend are done by me for sure.
I also had some good news the other day i got a pass grade for a photo i took and entered in a competion. It was taken with the Nikon D80 and the theme for the competion was patterns. The nikon D80 i only had for a week before changing to the K10D the best camera in my opinion.
PS NO doubt ill be getting some stick (oh well back to basics)
Pete

It's unfair to hijack somebody else's thread. To do it with somebody else's photo . . . not on. You haven't even commented on the original posters excellent photo.

Did you ask the photographer for their permission to use the photograph? If not, it would be more appropriate to offer just a link to it so that there is no doubt whose work it is.

QUOTE "Presumption is one of human natures instinct" In addition i have been honest and told you all. I need not have said anything but im not like that so please have a little simpathy at least for my honesty.

No need to feel embarrased, but I think just to be on the safe side I'll take the picture off. If you can find a link that's fine, but the original photographer might not be happy to have his or her picture lifted.
Best regards, John

Thought this one came out quite well, added a frame in Adobe Elements, what do you think ?
