Karting

Some nice shots there Steve. One of my nephews does karting. Went to see him at Wigan a few months ago. Took my Kx but only had the standard kit lens so had to reserve that for shots in the workshop and start. longest lens I had was Canon 75-300 on a film body. It was just a bit too 'short'. I wondered what the extra reach of a 300mm lens on a digital body would look like. Will have to get something of a similar reach because it does make a difference!
It looks like one of those days where deciding on the correct tyres for the conditions is likely to make or break the day.
Tell you what, I couldn't believe how expensive the competitive level could be. For what my brother-in-law has spent this past year I could have bought a K5 plus about 4 or 5 'professional' lenses complete with filters and cases and still had some useful change over! And that is not including the cost of travelling to the events,
accommodation etc.
cheers

Nice set overall but I really like the third one with the rain and the look of concentration on the driver's face. I'd be tempted to crop a bit off the bottom though.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

nice shots but would be nice to see some with panning & slowish shutter speed to show the movement/speed.

Somewhere warm and sunny
All taken with the DA 55-300. Sun was in and out and light changing all day! What a pain.
