Pentax pro camera to offer video shooting, at 720p.

If people want video shooting, why not buy a Sony video recorder?

I pretty much agree with you Rees but I guess the K-7 will offer an interesting alternative to the fixed lens situation on my Sony HDR-SR11. Particularly at the wide end (depth of field too of course).
Having said all that the likelihood would be that I would only use it to capture something if I didn't have my Sony handy

I'm still not convinced that the battery grip would be named the D-BG4.
4 is an unlucky number in Japan and they avoid it if they can, for example can someone name me a pentax camera with only the number for.
We do have the MZ-1, MZ-3, MZ-5, MZ-6, MZ-7 and some more but not MZ-4.
Also Canon, Nikon and all the other japanses companies don't like 4,
Canon already skipped the 4D and have the 5D but nikon is coming close now with there top line D3.

There was a Nikon F4. Perhaps it was called the F3A in Japan.

I want to see how well the HDR facility works. But unless I get an unexpected windfall I can't see myself buying one. My K10D takes better pictures than I do.

Look at the powershot G line only the 4 is missing also in the S line.
Minolta used another name for the dynax 4 link

Video?

I've got my JVC, horizon not level, correct with Lightroom.

Body only at £1200, I don't think so, unless some kind soul buys one for my birthday in November, or unless the Lotto comes up.
Any offers of one for my birthday present?

That's a very positive and impressive article. I guess that destroys the "film has a higher dynamic range" argument then?

Thanks Mike.

Henry Ford (god bless him) once said two profound comments, his first and most famous "You can have any colour, as long it is black" and is lesser known, but just as profound, when he was asked about his model 'T' there's not much to it is there? he replied, " the more there is on it, the more there is to go wrong" !!
