K70 Review
Reads like every other modern Pentax review really:
Pros
•Excellent still image quality, especially when shooting Raw
•Weather-sealed, robust build quality
•SR system offers unique features like Pixel Shift and AA filter simulation
•SR greatly assists handheld sharpness with all lenses and provides steady video
•Extremely customizable twin dial controls
•AF fine adjustment
•Very customizable interface, easy to use Wi-Fi
•Information-rich JPEG processing and in-camera Raw conversion interface with extensive adjustments
Cons
•Slow kit lens
•Limited AF points and area
•Limited subject tracking ability, helped if you keep your subject centrally composed
•Disappointing continuous autofocus in video
•Most impressive autofocus speed is limited to a single lens
•Heaviest in its class, with shortest battery life of a DSLR
Also, "Raw image quality that is among the best the APS-C sensor size has to offer...... the K-70 trumps both its mirrorless and its DSLR competion." Sounds good too, and that's from DPR who are notorious for knocking the brand.
The review also hints the camera's autofocus works better with the new PLM lenses. Oh, and they gave it a silver award!
Still, they mention less than usual that obviously Pentax DSLRs are only a good choice for people already invested in the system
Fan of DA limited and old manual lenses
I find my Pentax cameras frustrating at best during the children's sports days, and have to ore focus my shots at a point I know they'll run over etc. I'd love some tracking to assist with that.
Video wise I want to benefit from all the Pentax points mentioned above. Is love to have better video (real SR returned again, focus peaking that works during recording etc).
Improvements in these areas would be appreciated by me.
It's interesting in that focus tracking and video are important to me.

You have been catered for by Pentax for longer than most of us:
I was glad to see a good review, though they continue to focus on camera aspects which are less important (focus tracking, number of focus points, weight, lack of mega-expensive lenses, video) and ignore or down-play more important aspects such as build quality, interface, controls, SR, availability of reasonably-priced yet high quality lenses.
Focus tracking/points maybe less important to you but not to a lot of camera users.
Not read the review but as for your list of ignored important aspects, apart from the availability of lenses all of the rest seem to be in the list of pros posted earlier

I bet it'll take great landscape shots.
I hope it does very well for the company.

"The camera doesn't make a bit of difference. All of them can record what you are seeing. But, you have to SEE."

Depends what is considered important to the user. AF speed, accuracy and tracking are very important to Sports and Wildlife photographers for example. The bigger issue is that it is clear that they can't do anything about the main generic criticism of Pentax cameras that has been going on for years.
Shame because in all other aspects they seem to consistently beat anything in the same price range.

I think improvements in these areas would greatly increase the appeal of Pentax to the "unconverted" Video is not of interest to me, but if improvements in these areas increase Pentax sales that has got to be good for the brand, not the lest in encouraging Sigma to produce more of its lenses in Pentax mount. I, like many on here, have a mix of Pentax "new" and heritage lenses, auto and manual focus, third party Tamron and Sigma lenses, most of which are not available new, but this is not an ideal situation. The K70 does lots of clever things, surely decent video shake reduction and autofocus is not impossible in this day and age, I don't particularly need it but many certainly feel they do, and dismiss Pentax as a brand because of its perceived and actual failings in these areas.
