These were taken yesterday with my K-7 and WR 18-55 fitted. A quick 3 miler around the Caversham / Thames area. Travelling 'light' hence the WR lens

It's not a bad little zoom, a bit soft at the edges at 18 mm dependant on aperture. At the long end it also benefits from a bit of stopping down. Certainly great value for money

By the way the Heron was taken at 55mm f11 and cropped quite a bit. All the rest were at the wide end.

Here are a few others with sunnier lighting. These were taken last month while on holiday in Provence. Although I mostly used the 16-50 or FA50 walking around Bargemon I had the 18-55 fitted.

IMHO £21 would be an acceptable premium to pay SRS for the benefit of their outstanding service, but in any event you could phome Chris and see what he could do about it anyway.

It's good to talk....
Best regards, John

If you are about to go ahead I would suggest you give Chris a call at SRS and discuss 'all' aspects of your proposed purchase

A few weeks away yet .

Have already been e-mailing Chris for help and
advice. It was just an observation. There is quite a spread of prices when checking round and up to now SRS was best deal.

I like to keep abreast of prices ..I am a Yorkshireman after all

Make sure you don't qualify for Oscar Wilde's definition of a cynic - one who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing.

Good find, yes they look fairly representative. I haven't got the DA 50-200 WR so can't make a comparison with that one.
