K7, F-- error question

I do not have the K-7 but the K-5 but I am sure that the basic is the same.
In your custom settings you have to look for something that calls 'Using Adapter Ring'. You will find that this is set to 'prohibited' which is the default. Just change it to 'Permitted' and you will be fine with the lens.

Just to add to that reply, you will need to use stop down metering in manual mode so that the lens stops down correctly. Someone who does this routinely will be along I'm sure to add detail to that process.

In addition to the above;
You have to set the desired aperture on the lens then press the "Green Button" to take a meter reading and effectively set the correct exposure. you may then press the shutter, dont forget to focus

The Customs settings item you are looking for is called Using Aperture Ring. This can be set to Permitted or Prohibited. Leave on Permitted. You don't have to change this setting when using automatic lenses.
