I'd recommend using a card reader, so much more reliable and your camera doesn't need to remain on which a low battery might be the cause of transfer problems..

Have you tried removing the SD Card and using just this to upload your images? It may be that the USB connection on the camera is getting a bit worn.

Try another SD Card as well as a Card Reader. Even if you're transmitting via USB cable from the camera, the images are still stored on the SD Card and thus read from it.

This seems to be an incremental issue with the maximum number of uploads falling off in the last three shoots.
Can you transmit them all in more than one batch though

Many thanks to you all for this advice, which I will certainly take.

My K5 -2years old- has started to refuse to upload all the shots taken via usb to the computer. This seems to be an incremental issue with the maximum number of uploads falling off in the last three shoots. There seem to be no other problems with the camera of which I am aware.
Any ideas, advice, guidance would be most welcome.
