K5 rattle in live view

Can anyone explain why does the K5 makes fairly loud rattling noises when in live view ( with any slight movement).

I have two bodies and I am pretty sure both are the same (although have not really used live view on first body)

You're hearing the shake reduction. If you turn off sr, the noise will go away (and your view will be more shakey.)

Well to save the battery, when not in live view, it only actually moves the sensor (performs shake reduction) during the actual exposure- there's nothing to be gained from moving a sensor that isn't in use.
When in live view you get the benefit of a stabilised view, so it is on all the time.

Also you tend to move the camera about more in LV, while you're composing etc. So the sensor is probably moving more than when you're exposing a still.

I noticed this yesterday with video too. Rather annoyingly, the SR rattle is picked up very noticeably by the onboard mic.
