Fatspider, you'll get used to the ISO and Comp buttons soon... I take it you've gone from the K20D to the K5? I had the K7 inbetween so got used to the buttons

assuming you can pull as much info out of the blacks with the K5 as the Kx when shooting RAW, you can keep winding -Ev down and down and down until the sky stops being shown as clipping and ignore the clipping blacks. Fill Light tool in Lightroom.

Someone will now come along and tell you to use MumboJumboSixteen, but the amount you can pull out of the darkness even when facing full into the sun is amazing...
Still shooting in the dark (literally and metaphorically)...

Has anyone noticed a tendency for the K5 to overexpose in bright sunlight?

All day yesterday and so far today, living up north does have its advantages occasionally

It's still not bright sunlight though The sunny 16 rule can only be used between March and Sept and then only at mid-day until April that's according to the calculators on this page

On the one bright and sunny day this year that happened to coincide with a non-work day I had one or two of these overexposed shots but in my case I had accidentally pressed the AE lock button before framing the shot.
