The new Pentax DSLR Product Guide lists all the available products and includes the K-5 II and K-30. I'm sure these will be available for long enough, until the next new products arrive, even if production has stopped, although that's still a rumour not a fact.
Best regards, John

Yes, the 50mm f/1.4 is a mystery. It must be the longest serving discontinued product ever. They must have made more batches, it's just too long to simply be finding more stock.
There have even been batches of the A series 50mm f/1.2 reported, but only in Japan.

You can't really justify a K30 and a K50. The specs are so similar it just wouldn't be worth it when the prices equalise.

Yeah the K50 is the K30 really, so agree it should go. Personally I think they were a stunning buy, having the same sensor as the K5 / K5II etc, but being dramatically cheaper. A bit like the K-01 but still with weather sealing etc.
Only gripe would be the lack of new features via firmware update, but that's range wide really. Was hoping they'd take a look at the likes of focus peaking during video recording, increasing the video bit rates and maybe offer real mechanical shake reduction instead of that 'digital' antishake/frame cropping during video recording etc. That seems extremely unlikely now it's officially dropped.

According to K10D's Photorumors link the K5IIs is still available, so that makes it a 4 body range, a K500, K50, K5IIs and K3 is not a shabby lineup, there's something for everybody in there
Cheers

B&H have yet to get it wrong when they list something as discontinued.
The K5 II went off the listing quite quickly.
The K5 IIs is now GBP485 here and thats from the main importer.
Best regards

I wish they'd bring an FA version of it out, or even a DA* 50/1.2Yes, the 50mm f/1.4 is a mystery. It must be the longest serving discontinued product ever. They must have made more batches, it's just too long to simply be finding more stock.

Not sure the current AF system could cope at 1.2 though

The other forum's ramming down the throat of B&H is offensive. If I lived in America I wouldn't even buy a bodycap from B&H.B&H have yet to get it wrong when they list something as discontinued.

This forum's relationship with SRS is respectful and not intrusive. Much better.

Nikon or Canon AF are no good at 1.2 either, shallow DOF plays havoc with AF systems.johnriley wrote:
