K5 e book

Hi,

Has anyone had hands on experience (eyes on) experience of the e books advertised here

I'm thinking of getting the K5 version, it's cheap enough.

There is a thread on the other forum about it.

Basically full of spelling errors but gives a bit more info than the manual. It is said the author has taken his K-7 version and expanded a little but put the price up.

I think there is a demo manual of it somewhere.

I have both Ebooks, the K7, and the K5. If anyone has ever picked up a Magic Lantern Guide, the K5 ebook is very similar. The advantage of it being a PDF are that you can store it on a iphone or other handheld device, and then if you need to know anything you will have access to it, but without the bulk of having to carry around a manual. Overall i think the book is a good idea, it does cover some areas in more depth, it's easy to read and is informative.

Well I bought it.

I'm not anal about correct spelling so that side does not worry me. For the price I think you get your moneys worth. It explains the cameras workings, setting and use far better than the manual, covers all the bits and pieces you can get for the Pentax cameras, manual lenses and a lot more.

Obviously there is a bit of what appears to be padding in the form of list of lenses and Pentax history, but then it may not appear as padding if you are not a member of a forum where these things are discussed to death.

Would I buy it again, Yes.
