Advice please, what is the best battery to buy as a second battery for the K5. Also where is the best place to get them? I've seen on ebay on offer for £9:00 approx. Does anybody know if they're any good?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Howard

i bought a Hahnel pattern one for my KR from SRS, excellent. Dearer than some but rated higher output than the Pentax one. In real world use indistinguishable.

The alternative point of view, depending upon how we define "best", is another Pentax branded battery, available from SRS and other dealers.

I bought 2 of these from Amazon, same spec as oem. 2 yr warranty.
Have not noticed any difference.
Hope this helps

One bad experience with the Inov8 from SRS. Failed each time after only a few shots both occasions I tried it - just stopped dead and made me think the (new to me) camera had failed. Bad moment. I'm sure it must be one rogue example, or SRS wouldn't stock it, and they have replaced it immediately.

I had one of these - lower capacity than Pentax one and whilst still works, I think it is losing charge quicker now

After two years my Inov8 one is noticably less efficient than my four Pentax ones.
