Well these are great! the subjects are sharp and beautifully rendered, and the backgrounds excellently blurred. Lovely stuff. Which lens were you using?

The second bird (third picture) is a robin, the first bird (pics 1,2 and 4) is a nuthatch. The other's a male chaffinch.

The first and last for me (I do love nuthatches) ! A lovely set !

You're going to love the DA*300 (if that's the 300 you buy) - I tried out it against the FA 300 and although the FA focused a fraction faster the IQ is very slightly better from the DA plus of course the silent SDM and WR.

I'm planning to get the Tamron 70-200 this week (for a badminton tournament shoot assignment in 2 weeks time). Guess you like it eh - the IQ looks great !

Yep i love it , bit big but i don't have any trouble hand holding it and i think the iq great i think you'll love it struggling to get a da 300 nobody's got any will the iq be has good has the tamron
