bought this for £1.99

cheap, looks exactly like in picture and took about 10 days to come

Apparently does NOT work in bulb mode (but not tried with K5 yet)

Just tried the remote ( received it over week end and had not tried it as I was working)

There is a work around to bulb mode. I am sure most people here know that, but I am new to Pentax.

So if you choose mirror up shooting with remote while in another mode and then flip to B mode, you can use it for the shutter time you desire activated by the remote (Yoohoo!)

Sorry, this might sound like a stupid question, what do you mean not wireless?

Well that one is wireless in principle, since it uses IR instead of wires. IR can be confused in bright sunlight, has short range and needs the sensors on the camera to be in line of sight to the unit.

The other one mentioned is wireless in that it uses radio waves - much longer range and doesn't need line of sight.

Cheapish, as wireless goes, but does the job for me. The Cactus V5 is a lightweight hot shoe mounted unit that takes two AAA batteries. I bought the duo pack in order to use the flash wirelessly off camera. I also bought an extra lead in order to use the combination as a wireless remote release for my K7. Details etc can be found here link Hope this helps...

Retired at last - now all that time for photography - you would think: wink:

I would highly recommend Trigmaster, if you get into off camera radio flash, it will cover all bases but you will need two of them. I have purchased five of them, and have concluded they are like VW well made and reliable.

You can find them on ebay for about £30, but if you take a look at the above link and what they can do, i don't think you will find anything close unless you have the money for Pocket Wizards!
