K3 or Ks11

Hi phil.
I went from a kr to a k5, and not knocking the kr, the k5 is in a different league, and, for me it was a big step up. I found the k5 an easier camera to use, it fits my hand better...it just felt right!
I have very recently sold the k5, and bought a used k3 from here, and while the step up from the k5 is smaller, it still represents, to me, a big step up.
Going from the kr to a k3 i think you will notice a big difference...in just about everything. Physical - build quality, button placement, amount of external controls, twin control dials, top lcd, etc. Internal - the biggest thing for me was the AF....seems so much faster, quieter, and seems more accurate. Im using the same lenses as i had for the kr anfd k5, so IQ wise i cant say ive noticed a big difference, though my 55-300 doesnt seem to hunt anywhere near what it used to.
I cant comment on the ksii, but the k3 is a great camera, and im pleased i bought it. I dont think i will need or want to upgrade from the k3...this should see me for a canny while now.

i just bought the k3ii from chris at srs and to be honist i wish i had never bought the k5 and gone straight for the k3
the k3ii is one hell of a piece of kit and if you do buy the k3 dont expect the same results straight away as it is a totaly differant beast but well worth you get to grips with it

I had a K50 and moved up to a K3 took a while but very happy with it.
I would have got there quicker If the KS2 hadn't came out !!!!this was so easy to use a bit less heavy/bulky and provides I think easier to attain good results.
The K3 once you're used to it will I believe give better images but harder to achieve.
The KS2 feels more modern because of the screen and shape whereas as the K3 is more solid.
You pays your money....

i havent had much trouble getting results it just take you a little longer until you get use to the camera
but hear is a result only on my 3rd outing with the k3ii
that is with my k3ii and 55/300

I had a lot of trouble getting the exposure right on the K3 turns out I need to add 2 stops I anything other than bright sunshine
KS2 seems more forgiving easier to get the hang of both are good and I don't think of the KS2 as a back up I tend to use it in lowlight situations as preferred body.
