K20D question

Live view : When using live vierw on the K20D can you use it as a focus tool as in it will magnify the subject like on the K10D preview after the shotr has been taken.

The liveview of the K20D is useless...
There is no real zoom option, it is only a sort of digital zoom on the image and it does not allow true 1:1 magnification.
The K20D uses flip mirror AF so it takes a very long time.

I only use the optical DOF preview so only the aperture stops down so you can preview the DOF.

I turned off liveview after 2 minutes of using it.

I agree with Remco as a focus tool it is useless,unlike the C~n~n live view which is great for that,the digital zoom is too blocky when magnified.It could be useful as a compositional aid ,say for instance a landscape where you dont need/want to zoom in,but that's about it.I also have it on dof preview instead.

Live views good for macro w/ manual focusing and razor thin DOF, but otherwise, pointless.

wouldnt use it if it had good AF anyway.

I use it when doing macro if i need to stick the camera into a bush or something of that nature, when my fat head won't fit
