K20D or K7

I am a K20D user and am very happy with it. My nephew is 18 and he is about to buy his first DSLR. Would it be reasonable to recommend him a K20 or the new K7? I am asking this after reading the forum about focus problem and complexity of K7.

Thank you all folks! Thank you, Gene! I managed to buy the camera with kit lens and it is on its way; and the price I bought it online from Adorama (USA) is 1050.- dollars (including int. shipment) which is less than the sum I paid for my K20D with same lens in 2008. So,the question has been resolved for me!
