K20d LCD question

I recently bought Cosmo's K20d (and love it!), but am trying to find out how far I have to zoom in on the camera LCD to reach 1:1. I guess it's somewhere around 8x, does that sound about right? I'm basing this on a 230k pixel LCD being something close to 600x400 but I'm not sure of the actual resolution. Thanks!

I think you are pretty close Tim, my understanding was about 7X.

It's either 11x or 14x...
I did some tests a while back to determine the exact 1:1 point.
This thread explains my findings on page 3.

(If you're interested, I created a single pixel line in Photoshop then managed to get the JPG image back into the K20D so it could view it.)

HTH!

Thanks Matt! Jeez that is a bit dodgy of them! So the LCD is only approx 320x240? I take it they using the word 'dots' to describe the RGB subpixels? Sneaky buggers!

Tim,
It's standard marketing in the world of panels - and actually would have originated from the manufacturer of the LCD panel
That's one of the reasons I had to test with a real images
