K20D Cheap at Dixons

Strange that on a Google search Dixons once the UK's main camera shop never comes up? They seem to be about the cheapest for the K20D at the moment £567.63 inc. delivery.... SRS are £619 = £51.37 dearer and Dixons claim to have stock. Check if it's the mkII kit lens if anyone buys one.

The links too messy (contains session details etc. the web designer should be sacked, maybe that's why Google don't bother) so here's the site. Look under Photo and Camcorders.

In the past I've bought a ME Super, MX and MEF from Dixons. The prices were all good at the time.

Thats right Scott, you can buy the Dixons 3year "cover plan" for only £159.
I don't think so

So it does! Missed that bit.

Nice to see they've got an extra 7 fps out of it too.

Yikes, Chris said a small price rise was expected on the K20D but at £619 for the kit that is a £50 jump on a few days ago.
That means the camera was £150 cheaper less than a week ago (with cashback).

A month or two ago it was £539.99 with a MKI kit lens less the £100 cashback.

I think Dixons are purely mail order now, their old shops are now Currys Digital.

Either Currys have slipped up or Pentax have done them a very good deal to get the cameras in the shops with the £50 off as well they should have no trouble selling them..... except the one's I saw in Currys didn't indicate that you got two lenses.

Don't forget Currys 110% price promise

We’re confident we won’t be beaten on price and check thousands of prices daily to ensure you get the best possible deal. If you do find any of our products cheaper at one of the retailers below, including home delivery, we’ll match it and give you an extra 10% of the difference.

The product must be identical, in stock at one of the retailers below, and available for immediate home delivery.
Who does the Currys price promise apply against?

The Currys price promise applies to the lowest price offered by these retailers, whether that’s online or in-store:
Argos Comet PCWorld John Lewis
B&Q Jessops Tesco Asda

We were all a bit too slow going to Currys over Jessops 50-200
lens offer

Strange that, I have only ever seen Sony cameras in my local Dixons, and the staff are far from helpful.

I have always believed that if you're going to buy a camera, then you buy from a specialist shop, and not from a "general store", as a rule once Dixons have sold an item, should you have a problem with it,then they don't want to know.
My friend purchased a Chinnon SLR from Dixons some years ago, and after 4 faulty replacement cameras, he demanded and got his money back, eventually, but only after a lot of fuss from Dixons!
