Does anyone have experience with getting into the software for adjusting the K200 D AF point? Is it similar to the K10 D ? I`m pretty sure the problem lies with a Tamron lens but I need to do some homework before paying a visit to the owner up North.

I asked a similar question earlier this year.

It appears that the K200d can't be adjusted to suit individual lenses, it's just set at a standard and that's that!

If any body else knows otherwise I'd like to know as well.

Have you tried a front/back focus test using one of the many charts available?

Mustn't forget the Zenits, or folders, or...

PPG entries.

I cracked the issue with my K10 D and narrowed it down to the Tamron 28-300 being way out of kilter but my three Pentax lenses are almost spot on. Repeated the tests on my K20 and the results were virtually the same. My daughter has a K200 with the same Tamron lens so I am working on the fact that if the Tamron is well out on two Pentax bodies it`s probably out on a third model. Just hedging my bets.
