K20 or K-R
I wouldnt say I want to shoot in the rain but its good to have it as peace of mind. Even if I did go out in the rain I am unsure of how far one can push these weather sealed cameras.
At base ISO is there an IQ gain in the K20 over the K-R ?
I imagine the live view on the K-R is better ?
As for the rain, I just ignore it and carry on anyway. The K10D, K20D and K-5 have all performed without a glitch no matter how wet it was. The weatherproofing on the lenses has also been fine.
However, I never change lenses until everything is absolutely dry again.
Both the cameras you mention have excellent IQ and I would be happy with either on that score.

It is an illusion that photos are made with the camera… they are made with the eye, heart and head. Henri Cartier-Bresson
Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

I went from a K-X to K-7 and love it. top lcd panel is great for quick glancing and the extra external buttons/dials are handy too.
I got rid of my k-r as it was to small foe my hands. Super camera though...

Is a used K20 a better option than a used K-R ?
