Yes it's normal. I notice it is different to the DS's as well. It's a different design of button (switch) - that reduces camera shake as less force is needed.

The button is quite sensitive, you'll soon get used to it though

Think of it as the camera's G-spot...
Pentax ist DL, K10D, MX, various lenses, Fuji s6500fd, Canon A630.

Compared to my *ist DL2, the shutter button feels very light e.g. there is hardly any pressure required to press the button to it's first click point.
Is this normal...?
