I doubt that it is possible to replace the cover. I assume that it is either glued or welded to the rest of the plastic.

That would be bad. Surely it could be swapped by undoing the camera?

I wonder how it is mounted then because of the fact that it has to sealed for weather proofing. If it is glued then it will be really difficult to replace without damaging other parts I think.
I for one would not take my K20D apart for surgery, I am not scared of opening equipment but a camera that I still use is one step to far for me.

Hi,
Just bought a K10d off Annete on here and she says it has a few little scratches on the lcd screen cover.
Obviously it isnt such a big problem but say if i wanted to have a new cover for the lcd (not the actual lcd itself) , how much do you think it would cost?
Also where does them?
Cheers
Giottos make one to fit the K10D. It is in glass and offers excellent protection and doesn't affect the image on the LCD. If you want to remove it, just warm it with a hair drier to release the adhesive. Cost about £25 and are available from Pentax User or other suppliers. Before fitting it, make absolutely sure that the existing LCD is absolutely clean!Hi,
