K10D and 77mm F1.8 Limited

Some shot of my son and daughter taken with my dads 77mm limited on the K10d. Such a perfect portrait lens even better than my M 50mm 1.4 but not sure if its worth the difference on cost!!

They are really nice casual photos, with nice colouring and good use of shallow(ish) depth of field.

You should do a critical comparison between the 50/1.4 and the 77/1.8 at some point. It's little things like the look of the out of focus areas and the sharpness of key focal points (i.e. the eyes) when larger apertures are used that I find show the difference.

I'm not saying the M50 isn't a very good lens, but the FA77 is quite special for portraits in particular

Just my opinions - I don't want the 'M' brigade to hunt me down
