You don't have to answer the question of course, but it would be appreciated if you would at least acknowledge it, just once.

One more time as you've dodged the question twice previously, why are you selling your kit? Are you switching to another brand? If so, which one?
He's going for Canon, of course. If it were Nikon, he would say so, but people are embarrassed about buying Canons. Can't think why.

Does it matter?
One only get four or five tries....before one runs out of brands...
after four or five divorces, even the most self righteous will start to wonder... "was it me?"
Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

It saves unnecessary messing around imo and is actually part of the for sale process on other forums.
From there people have a baseline from which to make an offer if they wish.

To be honest I just don't like making offers. At the end of the day the person selling has an idea in their head as to what they will accept so I would rather just know that from the beginning.
I agree with this - it's something I've changed my mind about recently, too.
I've tried the 'make me an offer' approach when I've simply not known how much a couple of old lenses were worth - naively I imagined it would be a good way of finding out. I suppose it might be for items which are very much in demand.
But I think now it's better to just list things on eBay in that situation, or else just say what you want for it if you do have an amount in mind.
