It is possible to get the K10D (and GX10) into 'debug mode', which allows some fine-tuning of the AF. This involves creating a file containing one line with the text:
[DEBUG_MODE EN]
and a new empty line.

I did it on my GX10 and the 50-200mm kit lens suddenly became quite decent, until then I'd given it up as a very poor performer. Note that there is only a 'global' adjustment on the K10D.
Best to establish whether the AF accuracy is a concern first though, by taking some test shots and looking at them at 100%.

I believe you have the latest update. As for focus adjustment, their is a hack available, search the forum, if you cannot find the hack by searching then perhaps you should leave it alone anyway
Personally i would take a few shots with the 16-45 on af and then decide.

I have the k10, and have never felt compelled to hack mine, the focus seems fine even with the 50mm 1.4 wide open... if yours ain't broke, don't try fixin it....
Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

actually both my k10s, and ds2 and kr are all fine with the 1.4 straight from the factory...

My K10D had quite a severe backfocus problem and the hack made a night-and-day difference to performance. As you can gather from the above though, not all K10Ds suffer so...

My K10D also needed a severe adjustment to get it to AF accurately. Also severe backfocussing as it needed around a +210um adjustment.
. You can take a few shots at your widest apertures and see if you camera is front or back focussing or not. Do this in daylight. And there's no harm in entering debug mode and taking a series of test shots at various settings to see if you can improve your AF performance

Just a couple of questions, is the latest firmware version 1.31?
I will be mainly using it with my 16-45 and one or two manual primes, but mainly the 16-45. Do I need to somehow calibrate it to get the best focus performance? I've read about other members using some kind of hidden menu to adjust settings for various lenses, or should I just leave alone?
