K10 malfunction

I was shooting a friends wedding last month when my K10 decided it knew best and wasn't going to listen to me when I wanted to change aperture, shutter speed or ISO; less than convenient and not easy to hide from the bride when shooting her portraits!
I had a backup Ist DS but after a while it started playing properly but it's not something I'd like to repeat.
Has anyone had this or similar trouble? If so was there and easy fix? (and cheaper than selling it to buy a K7!)

Do you have the grip attached? I have had something similar occur (only rarely) and IIRC it was something to do with the grip and one of the dials not fully 'clicked' in position.

I think also have sometimes inadvertently changed the mode dial and it seemed as though nothing would change with the dials.

You might try turning off, remove battery, re-insert etc.
Hope that helps

Thanks Andy, I did have a grip attached, I don't think I checked the dials on the grip so that could well have been it.

Glad to be of help - and hope that if it occurs again, its not in a pressure situation!

Definitely the grip - one of the dials would have moved half a click, and that then locks up the corresponding dial on the body, and vice versa. I get it relatively often.
