What is the charging time for the Li-ION batteries used in the K10 and K20?
And is there a 12 volt charger available?
I am considering the K20 or a K10 but on holiday we don't have electricity in our tent. A do not feel a lot like leaving the charger in the kitchen of the camping site overnight to charge the battery.
A 12 volt car charger would help a lot.

Can't help with the charging time but CameraNu have a Hahnel charger that is also 12V - http://tinyurl.com/2dvmvc

Edit - they also have the K20D at the cheapest price in NL at the mo I believe.

On my boat I use a small inverter that kicks the 12v upto 240v.

I can then charge my camera, laptop, mobile phone etc. etc. using their standard mains chargers.

Small inverters are very inexpensive.

The problem with the cheap inverters is that they either have a square wave or if you are lucky have a modified square wave.
Real sine inverters are expensive... For a battery charger it might not be a problem but I am reluctant to use those cheap inverters.

Have a day out in Urk - you may come away with more than a battery charger

Depends on the charger and the state of the battery. I'm not sure how long it takes with the original charger since it stops charging automatically (when I'm not in the room!). Not more than a few hours anyway.
