K10 focusing issue

I am having focusing problems with my K10. It is front focusing.
Auto focus no longer gives a sharp picture. I need to manual focus.
I need to look for the yellow light confirmation then refocus forward until the light just blinks. I then get a reasonable result.
I believe that there is a third party software solution. Can someone point me to this with instructions.
If I feel incapable or make a hash, what are my other options, please?

Have a read through this for adjusting the K10D Auto focus using a debug mode. link
You will also need to set up a focus chart, hope that helps.

Tom. Have read this. Not too sure I understand it or where you download the programme.
I bought the camera two years ago. I do not know what firmware is on the camera. Is this critical?
I might just get my son to look at this.
Thanks for the link.

Hold the 'MENU' button when you turn the camera on and the firmware version will be displayed on the screen
