Odd, mine does not do that in manual mode or Hyper Program mode. How are you setting the ISO in the first place ?

Nor does mine, it seems ! It does it in Av mode !! I was saying the button was handy in those modes, but I thought it also changed Iso, maybe not Odd, mine does not do that in manual mode or Hyper Program mode. How are you setting the ISO in the first place ?
Maybe I'm over confusing this, and myself
It's a pity u can't set Auto to just ONE Iso, but u can't !
(latest firmware, for those asking)

Following mattmatic's suggestion, mine are set up so that the camera is normally on auto ISO, but moving the front wheel adjusts the ISO to whatever you want. Then pressing the green button returns it to auto ISO

If so on which Mode, Av ??Following mattmatic's suggestion, mine are set up so that the camera is normally on auto ISO, but moving the front wheel adjusts the ISO to whatever you want. Mine's set to the following:
In Av mode: front wheel ISO, rear wheel aperture.
In Tv mode: front wheel shutter speed, rear wheel ISO.
When you turn the ISO wheel you will then be setting the ISO to whatever you choose, pressing the green button will then return it to auto ISO (within whatever range of ISOs you've set).
This is why people who actually use Pentaxes have never been bothered about having an ISO button, because that's more fiddly than what we already have. But the press didn't seem to cotton on to that...
It's in the custom functions menu, and you have a load of different options. Can't remember what I have TAv and Sv set to as I never use them.

Other modes are still at the default settings, but there are numerous permutations available.

Done that, and more In Av mode: front wheel ISO, rear wheel aperture.

BUT, if u press the Green button in say.. Av mode, u set the Auto Iso ! if u then go to Tv ot P etc. it's still set to Auto and I don't want that !!
I'll learn to live with it no doubt ! Have to remember not to use Green button in certain modes.
Thanks all

You have to programme each mode individually.

But why do you want to press the green button in Av mode ?
I only use the green button in
1. Manual, to set a shutter speed.
2. In Hyper Program to set a Program exposure.

I think I was confused about the fact that it changes Iso, and not just for Av ! I'm surprised it does anything really ! Same for Tv, of course. Just a way of reseting back to Auto Iso I suppose ??

So do I !! that's why it's annoying me. If I could turn the Auto feature off, I would do

Simply to add.
If you've the new firmware installed, and you press the OK button on the back you can change the ISO as well with the front wheel or the green button. This works in any mode I believe.
