As it came up in this thread,
I'd just like to say Thanks to Sigma for fitting a new mount onto my 150 - 500 today, noticing and correcting a slight fault and giving the lens a firmware update all while I waited.

Thanks for letting us know. Didn't think they'd do it while you waited. How long did it take them? I'd need to factor a wait time into a very long drive to get mine done!As it came up in this thread,

Does the new mount seem OK?

Took an hour and a quarter, I didn't get the impression they do this service routinely, but one lens they said they'd do, turned out they didn't have the right mount as it had 3 screws and not 4 securing it to the lens.
This one will be more like September before it can be converted.

Resuming this old thread. Tbh one reason I decided to buy the k1 was for the noise performance, however so far I didn't notice big differences compared to the k5, except for a better color rendering. What are your opinions? I am not sure if I should keep or return it. I love some features, especially the monitor, but I am not sure it's worth the update
