K-x Harlequin edition!!

I wonder if one of the marketing people went from VW to Pentax

In 1996 VW allso did a Golf with the same colour scheme, there were only 264 produced.

The Polo's were built as normal unicoloured versions and they were then taken apart and the parts were mixed up to get the different schemes.
On the registration the colour of the roof and back is listed. The Polo on the picture above will be a green one on the registration papers.

I heard, although I don't know if it's true, that they originally made one multi-coloured Polo as a marketing stunt for a motor show. It was to show off how many colours the car was available in or something, but they got so much interest in buying the car at the show that it ended up being made as a special edition.
