These guys can probably supply you with a replacement motor for next to nothing if you give them a call; it can be pretty nerve-wracking dismantling a DSLR but I did it with my K100D and got it up and running again

This can be an old school dedicated manual focus, manual exposure machine.

It's a good suggestion mdc for someone a bit more confident in taking apart a DSLR. I'm happy to sell it at this price.

Yeah I figured whoever bought it might like the option of repairing it on the cheap as that way they've got themselves an even better bargain than it already is!
Those guys at Johnsons managed to fix a busted Konica Minolta DImage 7i I picked up for £5 from an antiques (haha, I know right) shop; needed a complete CCD replacement as it was a manufacturing defect, and they did it for free with Sony footing the bill. Moments like that re-affirm your faith in bargain-hunting

I would have had that - but I missed it!
I'm still on the lookout for dead bodies, or faulty bodies. I'm particularly interested in a dead or faulty K-7 since I haven't taken one of those to bits yet.

And the catch....(there is one!)...the AF motor in the body no longer functions for some reason. With my DA*50-135 it works flawlessly, so any lens with SDM or HSM will be fine with the camera, but screw drive powered lenses will not AF I'm afraid.
Its condition is fantastic - no marks or scratches on the screen or body.
I contemplated claiming a repair on the house insurance before selling it, but considering the £50 excess and the cost in posting it over for the repair, there won't be much in it I'd imagine - it's not worth the claim. I'll take the hit on it now and sell it for £100.
Comes with box and manual.
