K mount and MZ60

Hello. My ME Super is all worn out. my lenses are all K mount. is there an adaptor that I can use so that they can be used with an MZ60 if I get one.
I am temporarily using my Cosina as a back up.

Others more knowledgable than me might correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that the MZ-60 has the aptly dubbed 'crippled' 'K' bayonet mount which means that pre 'Pentax-A' lenses (Pentax-M and older) can't be used at any aperture other than fully open. You may not even be able to release the shutter.

If you can get a second hand MZ-S, MZ-6 or even MZ-7 your older lenses will work with some restrictions.

The MZ-60 is an excellent, but entry level (beginners) SLR.

There are plenty of Pentax M series cameras available at low prices and in excellent condition.

Otherwise, many of the AF bodies will work just fine with your lenses, and I would especially suggest the MZ5 and MZ3 models.

Why not get another ME Super? I hear there is some kind of internet auction site which is a good source of second-hand camera gear. Perhaps someone on this forum knows the address?

Thanks for the info fellas. I am not an advanced photographer, and I am on a budget, so the MZ60 will be sufficient for me. And it did catch my eye some time ago.
I think I shall have the ME super repaired anmd then only use it occasionally. It has a bit of sentimental value to it.
Its an electrical fault. Ie it hasn't got any now. So is probably something that an independant repair place can put right. Or of course pack it off to Pentax themselves.
No doubt I'll be back on this site if I have anymore questions.

Why not just look for a used MX? I don't need no STINKIN' batteries!! Bwahahaha!!
