I bought one of those and it works relatively well. I will post some photos when I have the time but right now I have a problem with it and I'd like to understand it. The lens can't focus at infinity with it on top. Is it possible that it's due to the ring adapter I had to use to fit it on a 49mm lens?

If it has the detachable macro lens, have you removed it?

Yes but apparently can't be removed as it everything out of focus always without it. Very strange.

Some of the reviews reported a similar problem:

Which lens are you using it on. also K-1 or APS-C?
Do you have a Pentax 50mm prime, if so how is it with that?

I've played with a few different versions of these . IIRC mine all have a series 7 thread & need a metric to series adapter. Stacking a stepping ring or two could perhaps make issues, but I managed to have a IR filter between the lens & the adapter without any noticeable focus issues.

I did pick up a Raynox wide angle adapter (which clips on small lenses the same way their close up lenses do). It wouldn't focus on anything so I suspect the macro part is missing though there no clear place for it to fit - I only paid 3 & got it for the mounting more than the lens so I'm not really bothered.
