Yes but you will have to permit the use of the aperture ring in the custom settings menu. The "M" lenses do not have the circuitry to set the aperture from the camera.

How do I know on my existing lenses, which is the K and which is the KM lens?

I don't have an original K lens but I do have a 40mm "M" on the front it's marked "SMC PENTAX-M". I wonder if the originals were marked "SMC PENTAX".

Original K lenses are marked SMC Pentax. M lenses are SMC Pentax-M. A series lenses are SMC Pentax-A.

Just to add to JR's post, sometimes the SMC is written in lower case (smc). Neither one is inferior to the other by design, it just seems that somebody at Pentax decided to change it.
