K-7 orientation issue (maybe)

Hi

I've just got a K-7 (two weeks), having had other (D)SLR's before. I've found three problems with the camera detecting the orientation, and I just wanted to find out whether it was a real problem, or just something I haven't got right (though this unlikely).

In reverse order, I took about 30 pictures over the weekend, some portrait, some landscape. When I loaded them into Aperture, a few of the portrait ones were shown in landscape, and had to be rotated.

The weekend before, I had discovered that when you are viewing pictures, you can rotate the camera, and the picture rotates - nicely filling the screen with a portrait. Except that only worked sometimes.

Later that weekend, when I rotated the camera on the train, it flickered between portrait and lanscape continuously.

It seems to me that the camera isn't sure about which way up it is.

Any suggestion about things I could try?

Thanks,
Richard

When the camera is tilted down, it has a hard time figuring which plane it is in, so just level it and itr should solve this problem.

For your other problems, I haven't encountered them
