Interesting Gareth. Sounds a bit like Wings and Wheels at Dunsfold, but there's no way that 558 would touch the ground there. She should be back to full flying status around May or June.

There is a second Vulcan, XL426 which lives at Southend airport which up until a few years ago did fast taxis and is currently being brought back to taxiing status. I wonder if it is her.

OUCH!!!...that K20 plus lens for around £900+...my K20 body only cost me £550 and that was 4 months ago.

And a trip to Cormwall ain`t all that bad, just don`t go down (or is it the return journey) via Plymouth because of the toll on the bridge.

After a bit of Googling and looking at bebo and street view I'd hazard the Cornwall K-7 is OK.

(By the way its free to get into Cornwall. As of this morning, tolls were raised by 50% to £1.50 for the bridge and ferry. The A30 is free but usually has an overturned caravan on the single carriageway section at temple, especially on Saturday.)
Lurking is shirking.!

My mate just won it at £547 - I didn't know he was bidding but he's just texted to see if I fancy a drive down to Cornwall tomorrow

Assuming it's a good'un then expect me to be advertising his current mint/boxed GX20 and grip in the classifieds very soon...

He did well with that one

I suspect what helped was the fact that the seller was insisting on pick up only
