According to the EV calc that's EV6

If you're getting AF problems at EV6 then there's somethign really wrong.

The traditional K-5 AF problems started happened at EV4 and below. You should be getting a reasonable AF lock on at EV2.

have you calibrated the AF on your lens in decent light
