K-30 help please

set up has gone OK so far Next job is to put in a card and see what the Firmware is and update that . However have hit a minor snag . The K-30 has lots more buttons and bits than the K-x . I've been shooting permanently in RAW for some long time now [ possibly about 18 months ? ] and I can't see how to set that up as a permanent thing on the K-30 ! The K-30 has button on the Left hand side saying RAW/Fx I can't see anything so far in the manual as regards a 'permanent RAW ' setting and I really need to start using this ASAP since I need to be pretty comfortable with it in time for going back to Dublin on the 18th I've also got just under 200 pics from the last trip [ got back Tuesday evening ;) ] to put through Aperture and once I'm happy,either burn to disk or put on a USB drive to take out with me. Please would a K-30 owner give me the idiot type instructions for this to save my sanity ?

Well first few pics taken with the 18-55 on

It certainly is different from the K-x - front and back e-dials ?

However I'm very happy so far.

Tomorrow I'll put the Tamron 18-250 on and take a few with that - just to allow for some experimentation - I'm expecting to have to play with the ISO at times this weekend - so some 'messing about ' is indicated
