An old fashioned bike just waiting for the owner to return to collect it. Spotted in an alleyway in Pienza. C&C welcome, especially thoughts on the square crop.

Nice detail and texture in the stone work and I like the contrast between old stone and new looking bike.

I can't see why the square crop should not work. My only reservation on that is the sort of pillar effect on the right hand side. Would it work without it or do you have enough in the original to leave more in and enhance the down an ally effect?

Yes, good detail and the textures come through strongly. The mono works well because of these aspects I think. Its a tight compo but there's interest also added by the mystery of the door and darker space around behind the bike.
