Hi all
After a weekend of trecking and taking out my camera I am not really feeling up to too much so I just choose three pictures I liked for one or the other reason to post here and just be interested what you think?
I really appreciate ALL C&C's as this is the only way to get forward and get things right.
Not much PP on those.

Love "lunchtime shopping" - I love the way people have the same hair dop and clothes in order to 'fit in'

I didn't know Tesco had moved into Cult Goods

Top pic is a bit indistinct. Sorry.

I love the tesco one. What a terrible building to choose for a supermarket.

I would not mind having an old church as a photo studio, but as a Supermarket? Thats why I named it

It just came to mind as they seem to pop up here everywhere

I find the second shot terribly depressing. Nothing wrong with the photo but as a comment on modern society...

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

I just found the irony of it is such a bad reflection on 'Tesco'. Surely they could have used another building, but a supermarket in a church (or Pub, for that respect. Got a CoOp here that managed to do that one, also it is not that obvious what it formerly was).
What was going through my mind when I seen this one for the first time is 'And what is next?'.
I really can imagine 'Tesco' selling Cars to go or a buy one get one free for Cardboard Coffins? And that only because they are more 'environment friendly'.
Somewhere should be a line of what is allowed and with this one it comes too close to the line for me. It makes for a good joke and that's why I took the picture, for nothing else but the joke of it.
Plus, there is a massive 'Tesco' not even half a mile away anyway, so why this one?
Better stop or it gets to political.

Rant over and just seeing the joke of it again.
Kind regards

The Tesco shot has just raised my rant level about four notches....what a damning indictment of our society. But....I won't rant here.

Number one: I like it but the headstone doesn't stand out enough for me. Would a tweak in curves bring it out a little?

Number 3: I think you have two shots here. The old ladies and the roof, but a seperate shots. As has been said, that roof is crying out to be explored.
Getting there! Thanks to you guys

The arcade is my favourite.

I'm not sure what is the worst.....

A). Tesco's opening a supermarket in a church?

OR

B). ASDA having a Chaplin in a supermarket?

If B). is OK what would be unacceptable about Tesco's putting
a Chaplin in their Church
Half Man... Half Pentax ... Half Cucumber

Pentax K-1 + K-5 and some other stuff

I honestly do not know what to do with the first picture. This is the original Colour version of the Grayscale one. Thought the grayscale would have more atmosphere but it does not come out as I imagined.
Maybe someone has a better idea what to do with it?

As for the third picture, I never ever did architecture or structure photography and would not even know where to begin of setting up a shot like this and what light would be the best.
Here is another one where the Mall with the roof is a bit more dominant.

For the first one I think you need to try a black and white conversion but simulating a colour filter. Possibly green, but try a few and see how it goes. Aperture and Lightroom can both do this.

You should be able to get different tones out of the stone and the leaves. Right now they all look the same colour after the BW conversion.

Here's a quick example - green at maximum which makes th eleaves go paler, and yellow at minimum which makes the headstone darker.

That's a great one. Thank you. I have to figure out how to do that. Hopefully I get my copy of Lightroom at the end of the month.
Many thanks for that.
