Just Some Quick Advice Please?

Neither digital nor SLR - but at least a Pentax question.

Recently I bought a used PENTAX PC25AF-M f=35mm 1:2:8 point & shoot.
It cost me a whole $20.00, and I've been amazed with the features and quality of both the camera and the pictures it produces.
Of course it didn't come with a manual, and one thing puzzles me (only ONE?).

It recognizes DX code and has a little light sensing window, yet there is still an ISO selector on the camera's bottom with settings of 100, 200, 400 and 1000. What is missing is the ever popular 800 ISO.
I'd love to use some Fuji Superia 800 and wonder if I should set this little selector to 400 or 1000? Or does it really make any difference with the DX? Maybe the switch is only for use with earlier non-DX film?

Any info - intelligent guesses etc. most welcome as usual.

Page 8 says that the switch is only for manual film. Page 9 mentions DX films will automatically be selected from ISO 25 to 1600

I never thought of checking for the manual in your stuff - silly me!

Glad to help. It was actually in Pentax's USA site (under Customer Service and Support / Manuals / Cameras / Film Point and Shoot)
