Apologies for the poor quality of this image

It has been scanned in @ 600dpi from a less than perfectly printed 6" x 4" colour print.

The original was taken on my Super A or ME Super probably with my Sigma 75 - 300.

I could not sort out the strange colour of the print, so converted it to B & W.

Despite the quality issues, it still amuses me as an image

I can almost picture one of the captains franticly yelling 'starboard', although by the looks of it the ferry on the left is waiting for the other to leave the terminal. A good shot nicely cropped to almost create a mirror image. Brings back happy memories of trips over to the island to visit my late grandparents who lived in Bembridge.

Steve,

The shot was taken many, many years ago from an inlet at the most southerly point of Lymington.

The LH ferry departing Lymington is waiting in a slightly wider part of the Lymington river for the inbound RH ferry.

Almost no cropping apart from trimming a bit off the stern of the RH ferry to obtain a nearly symmetrical image.

The ferries only sailed under the Sealink British Ferries flag between 1985 and 1991 as pre '85 the ferries sailed under Sealink and after '91 they became Wightlink.

Amazing what you can find on t'internet

Wow, that is impressive and narrows it down a lot

The great thing about digital photography is the complete record you have of where, when, what with etc.
