Second and third shots would be good, but those background faces do need removing.
It's a tricky business at events like this, with people milling about everywhere. They spoil the effect, so very careful shooting is required and sometimes a bit of Photoshop trickery where they couldn't be totally avoided.

You'r correct John, and the situation was not helped by the scaffolding and mesh barriers around the Minster, which is under repair.Second and third shots would be good, but those background faces do need removing.

Good work Barrie. The second version is much better.
The inclusion of the hand this time round is interesting as it expresses strength to go with the Viking image. Does it look stronger with less white vignette in that corner or does it distract?
