The lighting on the two examples above is a good starting point. However, you could try out different backgrounds, such as using perspex or reflective materials. You could focus stack your images to ensure sharpness of objects from front to back, so that the depth of field in relation to the object stays the same.

Just keep experimenting!

Thanks for your comment, I tried doing some more which I'll put on here. Had a bad day today, did a necklace which got tangled round another one. I have to fork out money for a new chain now which is a bit upsetting as I don't have the money yet.

Trying to save up for a holiday which is a bit of a nightmare as unexpected things keep coming up which have to be paid for, so I keep being pushed back on my holiday fund.

These are great - excellent sharp focusing and depth of field effect. I'd agree with Fletcher8 above about a different background - something without a texture or pattern would be better. Also, whilst the exposures are good, there's quite a bit of reflective glare on the shiny parts which prevent the detail coming through (like on the small stones on the 2nd one). Maybe a diffused light source (like through a reflector) would soften this.

But they're very effective, especially with that pin-sharp focus .

Get beside a window, put the camera on a tripod. Get some white card for use as reflectors for additional light.

Set up in AV mode set the aperture to f11. Set the ISO to whatever the base ISO is on your model (either 100 or 125). Focus about a third of the way in. Activate the shutter using the self timer.

See what output you get from that. If too dark either use +exposure compensation or change from Av to manual and make the change that way until you get it right. If to bright, then use -exposure compensation

Go for it. Try that and maybe try white paper. Costs nothing to try.

The cloth you are using is fine it just needs to be draped over something else to lift it a bit. Try attaching the cloth to a bit of old cardboard box. You can make any shape you want and then cover it with the cloth using pins to hold it in place. The same cloth can be used over and over again and the cardboard comes for nothing.

If you want different colours, micro fiber cleaning cloths are useful for backgrounds You can get packs of three different colours in the Poundshop so you don't need to break the bank.

If you get the camera sensor in the same plane as the item more of the item will be in focus. For these pictures I would shoot from above the items, keeping the sensor closer to parallel with the item.
