My experience with Jessops local store is no stocks of much other than the camera of the moment and most staff that have no idea about photography .
The other main moan is the very high prices they charge.
Now Pentax are doing their own marketing, not via “Intro20-20” we may see a much better service.
I also note Pentax are doing an outlet on “Ebay” with surplus.

Interestingly, today I read an article on BBC:
"JD Sports and Jessops sales rise... "

"Although Jessops saw a Christmas boost, it said sales in the 14-week period ending 5 January were down 5.6%"
"Jessops said in the five weeks to 5 January, like-for-like sales rose 3.1%, although the company warned that its profit margin had been hit."
They were (are?) apparently selling Canon 450D at below cost price. That's obviously not sustainable.

As the old saying goes "turnover is vanity, profit is sanity".
Never chase turnover without profit.
Never chase turnover without profit.

Jessops have refused to show figures of there trading up to the end of Sept 08 untill end of Jan 09.
Looks like this is why Jessops are no longer trading with Pentax, maybe Pentax can see the writing on the wall.
