How to beet the English traffic jam!

Spotted in a Burford car park, does anyone have any usefull info on the bike, I believe it was built to be dropped in the field by parachute.Who made it etc?

The Welbike, for parachute drops. The Welbike 1.5bhp, 98cc two stroke, fold up motorbike for parachute assault troops in World War Two. Made by Excelsior 1942-46 this machine could hit 30 mph and go 90 miles on a tank.

I don't want to poach your thread but here is one unfolded. They were called the "Welbike" as they were designed at Station IX based at the Frythe in Welwyn, Hertfordshire.
